Christians are challenged to grow in faith by following the lead of the Holy Spirit, At times we are lead to move forward - lead with passion to accomplish what we are called to do. Other times, we are encouraged to pause - "Be still and know ...". (Psalm 46:10 NIV) To quiet oneself. Wait. Listen. Still on other occasions, the Holy Spirit encourages us to go back - "...if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar. First go and be reconciled..." (Matthew 5:23-24 NIV)
The writings here are designed to encourage active listening with thoughtful reflection and response to the Holy Spirit's leading, keeping in mind that: "...we have these promises, dear friends, (s0) let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God." (2 Corinthians 7:1 NiV)
